It's not you, it's me…

Sara Duke Factory Store Closing Effective September 23, 2012

Oh Bloordale! It’s been a wonderful couple of years for me here at 1244 Bloor St W. Thank you so much for your support in those early days when the store was teeny-tiny and for your continued patronage through the expansion!

Being a shop owner has been an invaluable experience. I have learned so much about clothing working here, listening to you, getting answers and seeing what kind of stuff you like. The line is successful only because of you!

Coming into fall, I find myself at an impasse- both the shop and the line continue to grow, but I am not able to keep up with both. After some long consideration, I’ve made the decision to devote all of my time to designing, leaving the retail part to the wonderful shops that I am lucky enough to be included in, the closest of which is Coal Miner’s Daughter (587 Markham St. and 744 Queen St. W.).

The good news is that Make Den will be moving in! The Make Den is a creative sewing studio currently located across the street upstairs at 1207 Bloor St. W.

I hope you'll check back often to see what new things I come up in my new life as a full time fashion designer. I promise to be all over Facebook and Twitter.

Love,
Sara
